Brief About Sheikh Ali Jaber:

Ali Jaber (Arabic: علي جابر‎‎), born Ali ibn Abdullah ibn Ali Jabber (Arabic: علي بن عبدالله بن علي جابر), was an Imam at Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca, renowned for his beautiful tarteel.

Sheikh Ali Jaber was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 1951 and passed away on December 17, 2005. By the age of 14, he had memorized the Quran after his family moved to Madina in 1956.

• In 1976, Jaber joined the Sharia Faculty of the Islamic University and graduated in 1986.
• Following his graduation, he enrolled in the High Institute of Magistracy and completed his thesis on "Abdullah Ibn Omar's fiqh and its impact on the Madina School" in 1980.
• After earning his doctorate in 1986, he served as an Arabic Language teacher and a professor of Islamic studies at the Education Faculty of Madina under King Fahd Abdul Aziz University.
• Subsequently, he held positions as Imam and reciter in various Saudi mosques before becoming Imam of the private mosque of the late King Khalid ibn Abdul Aziz.
• Upon King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia relocating to Jeddah, Jabber was appointed as the Imam of the Holy Mosque of Mecca. In 1982, Jabber requested to step down from his Imam duties but continued leading evening prayers during Ramadan. He resumed his role as an official Imam of the Holy Mosque the same year he obtained his doctorate certificate.

Jabber passed away on December 17, 2005 at the age of 54. He was born in Jeddah in 1373 Hijrah and memorized the Quran at age 15 in Makkah.

At age 23, Abdullah Ali Jabir graduated from Sharia's Faculty at Islamic University and then pursued a research project on 'Abdullah Ibn Omar's Fiqh and its Impact on Madinah's School,' obtaining his doctorate in 1407 Hijrah. He assumed his role as Imam of Masjid Al-Haram that same year.

Sheikh Abdullah Ali Jabir contributed significantly to academia during his illustrious career before passing away due to illness in 1426 Hijrah.
